"Only popped in for a hot coffee before going to pamper myself and what a lovely surprise. The atmosphere is amazing, calm and welcoming. The young man behind the counter was so lovely and friendly. A lovely surprise to have such a pleasant experience in an unassuming place. The coffee was hot and tasty too.. winner all round and well worth a stop off at in Halifax. (You can bring your dog too)"

"Lovely coffee shop with a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. The coffee was rich and well-made, perfect for a relaxing break. The highlight for me was the Belgian fudge cake absolutely delicious, rich, and perfectly chocolatey without being too heavy. Definitely a must-try if you visit. Best coffee shop in town."

"Amazing little coffee house. Friendly staff that deliver your drinks and food to your table. Our experience was that good we came back the same day for a little bite to eat. The wife had a ploughman’s croissant heated up which was fluffy and very tasty while I had a pulled pork and mozzarella panini which again was very tasty. Our new go to for Halifax"

"Out today late afternoon I decided to come in to town for a quick cuppa I normally have my quite cuppa at coffee @no1 in Halifax town because of there out side seats, but since they close at 4, and i was late in town I thought of trying a new place, since this is opposite No1, I came in to coffee king as soon as i walked in I had this good feeling of the place nice settings in side as well as out side seating and above all I have to say the young lady behind the counter was amazingly welcoming definitely a credit to the shop (Naomi) the young lady’s name, most definitely be coming here again on my stroll in to town for a refreshing cuppa and maybe a scone next time , lol definitely recommend trying even if it’s just to see the welcoming happy to serve with a smile way, of the young lady. Once again after my Friday prayer I just felt like a coffee and enjoyments of seeing the world go by at one of my favorite (now) cafeteria, even though it was hard to make the choice between the two I enjoy in Halifax town center, eventually I chose this one coffee king but certainly not over coffee No1, but equally as good , and what in my opinion makes both of these places special for me is the fact they have seating out side but more then this the staff are very pleasant and joyful and on that note today I was served by a young lady named Kiera and it’s true about best things come in small packages lol most definitely recommend for others and use this place for it’s excellent coffee the views and above all the very pleasant staff.12/10/24 out again after couple of weeks away been ill was hospitalized so felt somewhat better so decided to have coffee here today coffee mocha and well rather disappointing as it’s lukewarm at best have told the young man behind the counter who has kindly brought me another cup thanks you but for some reason I feel it maybe loosing its charm now am not sure if it’s new stuff or what but I have not enjoyed my coffee as much as I usually do, 25/09/25 walked in to town for a stroll, came in again and as per usual was greeted with most welcoming way since I had the loyalty card with a free coffee I decided to have one here, and again credit where credit is due the staff were very good weldone to Naomi for restoring my confidence of coming back here , really is an asset to this cafe…….and definitely makes a refreshing cuppa, Taking nothing away from any of the other staff am sure they are as good too."

"I needed a laptop friendly cafe for a couple of days and this was The Most Excellent coffee shop. The coffee was great (even the decaf), the place was clean, organised, welcoming, the food was great (seriously, try the veggie pasty, blown away!) but all of that pales into insignificance by the sheer loveliness, helpfulness, generosity, cheerfulness of the staff, both the manager and the team. Nothing was too much trouble, they suggested cool drinks, they entertained me when I needed a break and left me to it when I needed to concentrate. After a couple of days I was genuinely sad I wasn't able to go back soon. I wish them all the best of luck with the business. Top coffee destination. Try the coffee with orange juice. Omg."
